Consortium for Responsible Time Travel

Setting the global standard for chronological conduct, paradox liability, and temporal impact assessment.

The Consortium exists because temporal travel, like all powerful technologies, requires governance. The alternative — unregulated, undocumented, unaudited movement through time — produces externalities that are, by definition, impossible to fully enumerate after the fact.

The Consortium does not conduct temporal travel. The Consortium regulates those who do. This distinction is important. We are frequently asked whether we have "been to the future." We have not. We have, however, reviewed the compliance filings of those who claim to have done so. Many of these filings were incomplete.

About the Consortium

The Consortium for Responsible Time Travel (CRTT) is an independent regulatory body established under the Temporal Activities Governance Treaty of 2031 (ratified retroactively; see TAGT Article 12.4 regarding pre-ratification applicability).

The Consortium's mandate is to develop, maintain, and enforce compliance frameworks for temporal displacement activities, including but not limited to: forward displacement, reverse displacement, lateral displacement (timeline bifurcation), observational displacement (non-interactive), and recursive displacement (see CRTT Advisory 2034-09 regarding recursive displacement moratorium).
