Certification Programs

The CTCO is required for any individual authorizing temporal displacement activities under CRTT-100. Certification requires completion of the Consortium's 240-hour training program, passage of the CTCO examination (administered annually; pass rate: 19%), and ongoing recertification every 3 years.

The examination covers TCS-7.4 in full, including the appendices. Candidates who have not read the appendices do not pass. This has been consistent across all examination cycles. There are currently 412 active CTCOs worldwide.

Note on certification validity: Certifications are valid across all member states and, per TAGT Article 12.4, at all points in the Consortium's operational timeline. A certification issued in 2035 is valid in 1947. This creates administrative challenges the Consortium acknowledges but has not resolved.

The CPRA certifies practitioners to conduct the Paradox Risk Assessments required under CRTT-102 prior to all temporal operations. PRAs are among the most critical personnel in any compliant temporal operation. An operation conducted without a CPRA-certified assessment is non-compliant regardless of outcome.

The CPRA program requires CTCO certification as a prerequisite. It consists of 120 additional hours of curriculum and a practical component in which the candidate must assess paradox risks in a simulated displacement scenario. The simulation has been described by candidates as "upsetting." We consider this appropriate preparation.
